Letterpress Workshops!

This workshop is designed to get you letterpress printing on the largest Vandercook letterpress in Toronto! With only 2 participants per workshop, you will have your chance to get your hands dirty (more likely "inky") and go home with your very own letterpress printed posters or stationery pieces!

In this workshop you will learn hands-on the basics of letterpress printing on a cylinder proof press. You will hand-setting type with my collection of wood and/or lead type, (which includes some pretty cool glyphs, and old wood blocks). You will learn how to lock-up type and make-ready, the traditional way. You will get to mix your ink and also learn basic press maintenance and clean up procedures. You will also have the opportunity to trim your paper on a truly vintage guillotine (from 1905ish). I will provide you with suggestions for paper to bring with you when you register.

The best part of all is that you will leave with your own set of letterpress prints that you made yourself!

For the first 3 workshops, I will be having a special introductory price of only $100!
